The inside of the church was remarkably intact, considering that the last service here was held over 40 years ago. The building has shifted, however, and the door on the left had permanently sunk into the floor. Most of the floor was quite solid, with exception of the odd hole. I memorized their locations for later when I would need to navigate the interior in total darkness to reach my lighting locations without appearing on film.

At one time, the town of Dorothy had three grain elevators. Only one remains, long abandoned but so far managing to escape demolition. You can see it here, through the window.
