The inside of the church
was remarkably intact,
considering that the last
service here was held
over 40 years ago. The
building has shifted,
however, and the door
on the left had permanently
sunk into the floor. Most
of the floor was quite
solid, with exception
of the odd hole. I memorized
their locations for later
when I would need to navigate
the interior in total
darkness to reach my lighting
locations without appearing
on film.
At one time, the town
of Dorothy had three grain
elevators. Only one remains,
long abandoned but so
far managing to escape
demolition. You can see
it here, through the window.
